Comilla, officially respelled Cumilla by the government in April 2018, is a district in Chattogram Division on the Dhaka to Chattogram corridor. It has a large student population and strong Gulf and North American migration links. Because Comilla sits outside Sylhet Division, we run these files remotely, which in practice changes very little beyond where biometrics take place.

What is different about a Comilla application.
The government revised the official English spelling from Comilla to Cumilla in April 2018 to match the Bengali pronunciation. Comilla remains the far more widely used form, and both appear on documents. Either is fine on your application.
